What buyers inspect
The details importers check first when they sample shop presses.
-
Rated frame, not just a rated cylinder
Uprights and cross-beams are sized so the frame, not only the ram, carries the rated load – the difference between a 20 ton press and a 20 ton jack bolted into a bent frame.
-
Gauge on 20 ton and above
A pressure gauge lets the operator see the force applied and stop before damaging a bearing or a housing.
-
Adjustable bed with pins and press plates
Multiple bed positions and a pair of press plates ship with every press; hand-winch bed lifting on the heavy models.
-
Spring-return ram with safety guard option
Return springs bring the ram up after every stroke; a polycarbonate safety guard is available where regulations require it.
-
Knocked-down packing, assembled testing
Every press is assembled and tested at rated load, then packed knocked-down so a 40'HQ carries the maximum number of units.
-
Your colour and brand
Red, blue, grey and yellow frames are stock; any RAL colour and your logo on the cross-beam for private-label programmes.
How to choose shop presses for your market
The questions our sales engineers ask before they quote.
-
12, 20, 30 or 50 ton – match the work
12 ton for wheel bearings and small bushings; 20 ton is the general garage press and the biggest seller; 30–50 ton for truck hubs, agricultural and hydraulic cylinders; 75–150 ton for industrial maintenance.
-
Working width and stroke
Check the inside width between uprights against the largest part your customers press, and the ram stroke against the depth of bearings and bushings. Both figures are in each model table.
-
Manual or air/hydraulic pump
Manual is fine for occasional use. Shops pressing bearings every hour buy air/hydraulic – the pump does the work and both hands stay on the part.
-
Accessories that sell with the press
Extra press plates, bearing-press kits, V-blocks and safety guards are high-margin add-ons; we supply them boxed with your label.
