When should a distributor stock two-stage instead of standard bottle jacks?
When your customers lift trucks, buses, tractors or lifted 4×4s where the frame sits high and a standard jack runs out of travel. For passenger cars the standard series is the better-value seller.
Are two-stage jacks slower to lift?
The first stage is actually faster because it has a smaller area; the second stage lifts at normal speed under full load. Pumping effort at rated load is similar to a standard jack.
