Is a welded bottle jack repairable?
Yes. Seals, pump piston and release valve are serviced from the top exactly as on a standard jack; only the cylinder-to-base joint is permanent.
Do welded jacks cost much more?
The difference is small at container quantities – the extra cost is in welding and inspection, not in materials. Many distributors sell them as their heavy-duty tier.
